New Roath Studio
We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our second pottery studio in Roath—a dedicated space for our taster sessions on the pottery wheel, paint a pot sessions, intermediate and advanced 6 week throwing courses and more focused, high-level pottery learning. As our business has grown, so has our vision to create a calm, inspiring environment for advanced and intermediate classes, masterclasses, artist talks, and intensive three-day courses.
All sessions will be led by experts in their field and masters in ceramics/ pottery, ensuring every student learns from the very best.
We are incredibly proud of our community that has developed since 2015—it truly is more like a family. Over the years, we’ve grown together, supported one another, and celebrated each other’s successes. This spirit of kindness, encouragement, and shared creativity has been the heartbeat of our studio. Without this wonderful community, the creation of our new Roath studio simply wouldn’t have been possible.
While our main studio remains a lively hub with 30 wheels, 13 large handbuilding tables, and a bustling creative atmosphere, the Roath studio offers a quieter, more intimate setting—perfect for:
Throwing Taster Sessions – Two-hour, beginner-friendly sessions led by our expert tutor Maria Carlisle, designed to make trying the pottery wheel fun, accessible, and affordable.
Paint-a-Pot Sessions – Relaxing, creative workshops focused on surface decoration, taught by Maria Carlisle, an expert in underglaze application. No prior pottery experience required.
Intermediate & Advanced 6-Week Throwing and Handbuilding Courses – Delivered by Kelly Campbell, these courses are tailored for potters looking to refine their skills, explore new techniques, and push their creative boundaries.
Advanced Handbuilding Sessions – Specialist classes focusing on complex forms, structures, and design, run by master potters for those with existing handbuilding experience who want to take their work to the next level.
Masterclasses & 3 Day Pottery & Ceramic Courses – High-level sessions for intermediate and advanced learners, plus artist talks and three-day courses for those wanting to immerse themselves in ceramics.
Our Roath studio is now open, and we can’t wait to welcome you into this exciting new chapter of our creative journey, we believe pottery can change lives and enrich our community. We grow together.
